ME OC Merc Leader Spiira by BLACK-HEART-SPIRAL ME OC Merc Leader Spiira by BLACK-HEART-SPIRAL
Yes, i've been dead for a bit. But here's something I completed recently.

Sketch I did up and then inked for one of my Mass Effect OCs, Spiira.

She's a female Turian (shortened the fringe but didn't remove it completely like in the comics) and leader of an almost completely female exclusive Mercenary gang on Omega. She's actually pretty sexist. Oh noes.

She's charismatic and quite the "Lady's Lady" but under the exterior she's got a sadistic streak - especially when fighting. She's got a complicated relationship with her second in command, an Asari by the name of Echilna, who tends to get the jealous streak when Spiira decides to go trapsing in bars and strip clubs of Omega on her off time. Quite protective of her "charges", she's not one you ever want to cross; especially messing with her subordinates.

Her reasons for leaving Palaven are her own. Primarily Vanguard, she uses her biotic abilities to aid in her close combat fighting style. Like the character she is based on (Blackspiral which also explains her sadistic behavior while fighting) she wields two blades with adept proficiency. Her sister is also close combat, but unlike the character she is based on, Rinsla (Ravenwing) is a Soldier and adept at close combat and weapons a plenty.

All around the bar i'm still fiddling with developing them all, as it's fun. I use a lot of already implemented characters in my mind as i'd rather keep them then continually create new ones as they are close to me already.

Anywho, Spiira and art is mine. I LOVED some of the concept art of Saren, mostly the cloaky business so it was implemented with Spiira's design. Though when she's fighting she takes off most of the flowy stuff and just sports her merc leather gear under it.

Traditional sketch work and inks on Strathmore drawing paper. Really not the best for my linework but ugh. Copic Sketch Special Black used to fill in all the dark bits. Levels adjusted in Photoshop.

I normally don't favorite much Turian pics and I especially rarely ever favorite bald Turian women since I think it makes them look well to put it lightly much less attractive. It works on Nyreen but otherwise no, im a much bigger fan of Turian women with fringes

yet I think u did a great job on this and I love the detail

Are you going to color this? That would be cool.

I'm probably going to do up a better sketch of her as I have been fiddling with her design. I'll post the new bust tonight.

Oh my huuuuuu~<3 How? Just... how do you make her look so very alien and... well, turian, and yet still so feminine? Without being absurd and adding bewbs or anything. Just... wow. I am humbled by your artistic prowess.

Ima go make a sorry attempt at a femturian now. xD

Awwww. Don't say "a sorry attempt"!

And wow i'm slow...but then i've been hiding out a lot lately. Thank you however!

I think the only turian I really bothered to look at for reference that was female was the one from the comics...and that didn't really do all that well all things considered. I mean, i still put a fringe on Spiira's head

She's a bit lanky I think for normal female turians maybe, i'm not sure. But that's mostly to fit her character. She's quite the creeper! lol Ok well, not really but close enough.

The fringe is too lovely to omit completely. >w< That is a stylistic choice I would make too. Females' fringes are just... shorter.

Eh, the female in the comics probably wasn't the best reference, anyway. Turians in the comics always look a little wonky to me. Artistic license is always superior. xD

And you're welcome! <33

I can't even find the right words, lol, I keep going back and just... Erm, this is absolutely awesome, cause you know aside from my adoration of turians, the bio was sweet and the drawing is epic. I love how much personality you manage to throw into your characters when you draw them, its quite amazing.

Also, all female merc gang on omega? Oh the fun that could be had, ME ocs are so much fun, hope to see more out of you soon!! x3

Haha, well, thank you very much! And yes, I need to draw more of them. I've been pretty out of it lately but I hope to turn that soon enough.

And yeah...well, ALMOST completely female. I have a couple Quarians i'm tossing around in my head that are twins and one of them is a male and...I think that's it actually, rofl. As you can imagine it's mostly because they are twins that Spiira allows him around. God, she sounds terrible but at least she watches out tooth and nail for her girls.
